While the Model 55LR produces less force than any other RAM FLAT at 20,000 pounds, this 55-gallon drum compactor is still a medium-duty machine with similar features to the heavier 55ER. This model is perfect for laboratories that have large volumes of lightweight materials like paper and plastic. The stainless steel compaction head makes it ideal for decontamination of low-level radioactive waste or chemical waste that would take paint off of carbon steel.
