US Department of Defense, Defense Logistics Agency

A National Stock Number has been officially assigned to virtually all RAM FLAT Compactors by the US Department of Defense (DOD). When a NSN is assigned to an item, data is assembled to describe that item. Some data elements include information such as an item name, manufacturer's part number, unit price, and physical and performance characteristics. NSNs are an essential part of the DOD Supply Chain used in acquisition, managing, moving, storing, and disposal of material.
